daily kaddish: for kristen and carolyn’s aunt and uncle

A bassoonist friend of mine from touring with the Chicago Chamber Orchestra way back in the 1990s, Carolyn, came for a visit last week—her son was competing for the next Olympics swim team. Her younger sister Kristen, a bassoonist friend of mine from St Olaf College way back in the 1980s, had visited back in January.

Carolyn went from Oakland to Minnesota to visit her dad and attend the memorial service for her aunt, along with Kristen who was also visiting for the occasion, and today Carolyn posted this on Facebook:

The service for my Mom’s sister was yesterday and today my Dad’s brother died.

An aunt and then right away an uncle—ouch.

Carolyn and Kristen, my thoughts are with your family. May your aunt and uncle rest in peace.
