Mira and I finally got to work together live in my studio again!

She decided to do a straight-ahead reading of the Kaddish text, the way people say it in shul—pretty quickly, without drama.

Kjersti decided to do lots of collar jingling and nail-clicking.

I decided to play “Kaddish” off the printed music again for the first time in a long time. Mira and I both noticed that reading it off the page drained all the life out of the music.
