Victoria and I enjoyed attending as many of his vernissages as we could, and we even bought a bunch of art. (Yikes.) After twenty-six acclaimed exhibitions, the George Lawson Gallery will close its doors and move south to Los Angeles (details TBA).<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll miss the gallery, and we&#8217;ll miss George\u2014our Scrabble and Quiddler buddy, our impromptu dinner and bull session guy, the guy I dug holes with while he was building my deck, the guy I had coffee with while he was building my kitchen, the guy who has brought so many great friends into our household.<\/p>\n<p>The George Lawson Gallery will live again. George Lawson lives on. Our friendship lives on. But our being able to hang out on no notice? That I will miss.
