Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi died today.

Arab Autumn? Or just more of the same?

I think the guy was underestimated. Nuts! Crazy! Yeah, but he also held onto power for forty-two years. That’s got to mean something.

His “people” are celebrating. Okay. But let’s see something actually better sometime soon before we join in the celebration. I don’t think much of anything’s going to change. Different military elite, different figureheads.

Maybe even some symbolic elections, sort of like ours…
